Trained as a commercial specialist. Worked at REWE in the purchasing department, later chief buyer REWE. Mother of 2 children.
In 1997, after the birth of her son, she founded the fashion auction house Ilonka Ringeling. Besides classical auctions introduction of combination of auctions and sales events (with more than 3500 single items within one event). 1999 Preparation of the auction of the Lotti Huber estate. Numerous other auctions in the 2000s until today. Various activities, cooperations in the auction field, among others with the Potsdamer Platz Arkaden, the company Swatch, charity auctions in favor of children’s hospitals, UNICEF. After sale of the auction house, move to Spain.
Since 2010 living again in Germany. Passionate art collector for over 3 decades. Customer advice on art furnishing/acquisition and restoration.
Main focus: 19th/20th century, painting, drawing and furniture objects.
